It is with the deepest sorrow that Med-Care Ambulance reports the line of duty death of Lieutenant Allan Parsons.

At approximately 3:00 AM on 7/5/2007 a Med-Care ambulance was involved in a serious accident on Route 4 in Turner while performing an emergency transport from Rumford Hospital to Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston.  Paramedic Lt. Allan Parsons died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident and EMT Arlene Greenleaf was seriously injured.  Arlene is currently at CMMC in fair condition. Thank you for all of the well wishes on her recovery.

Emergency Medical Service providers are a close knit community, and continuing to help others is the best medicine for us right now. We would like to thank the other emergency services and the members of the public who came to the aid of our injured employees and all of the victims in the accident.
