Arlene Greenleaf

September 24, 2007

There has been a relief fund establishedfor EMT Arlene Greenleaf at the Oxford Federal Credit Union. If you are not aware; Arlene was seriously injured in an ambulance accident on July 5th, 2007 while operating an ambulance on an Emergency Operation. Arlene sustained serious injuries to her lower extremities in the crash and has undergone surgeries for her injuries, endured a one week hospital stay, and is currently within a local rehabilitation center beginning her long recovery process.

This fund has been designated to help Arlene and her family absorb the tremendous burden that has been placed upon them and which is clearly going to exist over the months ahead. Any contributions will go directly to the family with no administrative fees attached to this process.

If you would like to make a contribution to this fund you may do so by submitting it as follows.

Press Release

To all whom have cared:

Arlene Greenleaf has asked me to write a brief note thanking everyone for everything that they have done for her and her family since the Ambulance accident on July 5th, 2007. She would like me to relay this message and thank everyone for all of the beautiful cards, visits to her home to see her, and for everything else that has been done on her behalf.

Arlene continues to be one of the strongest and most positive people that I have met in my life. Each time that I speak with her she is always so vibrant and full of life and determination even in this rough time of her life. Each time I speak with her it is to cheer her up and make sure that there is nothing that we can do for her and after each call I feel as though I were the one that received the most benefit from the conversation.

Arlene still has a long road of recovery ahead of her and expects to be wheelchair bound for the next 18 months with extensive physical therapy throughout and beyond this time period. We will continue to be here for her throughout this time assisting her in any way that we can and helping out her family adjust to all these changes as well.

Anyone interested in donating to the Arlene Greenleaf Benefit Fund can do so by sending their contribution to the Oxford Federal Credit Union c/o Arlene Greenleaf Benefit Fund P.O. Box 252, Mexico, Maine 04257. Anyone wishing to send cards or gifts to Arlene directly can contact Laurieann @ Med-Care Ambulance for the current address to send your well wishes too.

Sincerely,
